AUGUSTUS & PAX ROMANA (GSD)

Octavian Augustus is remembered as one of the Roman Empire's greatest emperors.
  • After reading the text sent out to you on classroom.  Complete the questions on the first slide
  • Discuss the symbolism of the statues to the right. 
  • On the second slide consider all of Augustus' achievements. Which do you think is the most important? 
  • Create a chest plate for Augustus commemorating what you feel is his greatest achievement. 
  • Explain your choice in 3-5 sentences.

​Bonus XP mission: Create a sketch/trace of the top statue & label the various pieces of symbolism on the Breastplate.
