African Geography! & Islam Test Scores

Hey Gang! This week we are beginning our three week study of Africa during which we will focus primarily on the Western portion Africa. The continent is an ecologically diverse area, with many natural resources from the Salt Rich Sahara desert in West Africa to the Gold Rich Zimbabwe of the south. Africa is also home to three vegetation zones (desert, savannah, and rain forest), and as we have learned with every culture we have studied the environment effects how people live, Africa is no exception.This unit we will discover that the early economies of Africa were based heavily on the mining of natural resources... actually this hasn't changed much throughout X number of years.
