This week we have been discussing the role of government in medieval China, and how they contribute or detract from its order and stability. On Monday we will be finishing up our coverage of the Sui Dynasty with Yang Di & the Grand Canal. Then on Tuesday & Wednesday we will be discussing the Tang Dynasty Ruler Taizong, and Analyzing a translation of some of his writings on effective government, which were to serve as a practical guide for rule. On Thurs & Friday we will be covering Lady Wu, a controversial female emperor of the Tang Dynasty.
