Octavian Augustus to the Fall of Rome

This week we have been spending alot of time with Mr. Octavian Augustus the princep of the Roman Empire. We have looked at his achievements, and have analyzed several sources including his memorial, and the symbolism behind his statues. If you are still digging ancient Rome I would like to recommend a really awesome podcast on the subject that I have been listening to... called creatively enough the The History of Rome Podcast (THoR for short). If you are looking for where we should be it's roughly around podcast 125 or so and it's definitely a good time. But onto other things... Today we spoke about Christianity and it's place in the history of the Roman Empire. Tomorrow we will be discussing the inevitable Fall of the Roman Empire.  I could say more but I don't want to spoil it so here's some buzz words... Barbarians, Diocletian, Constantine, and I promise this time a man named Clovis. Hint it's going to be worse than the video below.
